There is no cookie banner on this site, on purpose.
Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 requires consent before storing anything on your device — except where it is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for. Every cookie below falls in that exception: they sign you in, keep your basket, and let Stripe check the payment is not fraudulent.
We use no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. So there is nothing to ask you about, and a banner asking a question with only one answer would just be one more thing to click past.
| Name | What it does | How long | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| pdc_session | Keeps you signed in. | 30 days, or until you sign out | Us |
| pdc_order | Lets you see one specific order after following the link in your confirmation email, without signing in. | 12 hours | Us |
| pdc_cart | Remembers your basket between visits. Stored in your browser, never sent to us. | Until you clear it | Us (local storage) |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Set by Stripe on the checkout page to detect card fraud. | 1 year and 30 minutes respectively | Stripe |
Turning them off
Your browser can block or delete any of these. Blocking pdc_session means you cannot stay signed in, and blocking Stripe's means you cannot pay — so the shop will stop working, but nothing will break quietly.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics, we will ask first, the choice will be a real one, and refusing will be exactly as easy as accepting.
